Resources will be updated regularly; as a result you may say resources appear or disappear from the list from time to time. The following schools continue to provide meals for Big Island students qualifying for free and reduced meals

Poi Dog Deli is offering their PB&J sandwiches with bottomless popcorn through their new
"Keiki Food Fund"
Children and families will not be charged for this amazing service, however donations to the fund are gratefully accepted.

Chubby's Diner at KB Xtreme is offering $2.50 Bento lunches and $1.50 Pizza lunches to children while schools are closed.

Friends of the Children of West Hawaii has a limited amount of funding available to assist with meals for qualifying children. If you know of a child in need of assistance paying for meals during this crisis, please let us know so that we can work to ensure our children are all healthy and fed.

Educational Support Program
Financial donations are now being accepted for the purchase of educational tools and resources for elementary age students in need. If you would like to contribute you may do so by sending a check to

The Hawaii Department of Education School Based Behavioral Health office for West Hawaii will be offering students services by Webex, phone, and texting through ongoing school closures.
