Friends of the Children of West Hawaii is proud to once again be holding our annual S.O.S. (Supply Our Students) school supply drive in support of children in need in West Hawaii. Each year this program provides schools supplies to an average of between 200 and 300 children and teens in West Hawaii who have been victims of abuse or neglect, placed in foster care, who are homeless or migrant, or who are otherwise "at-risk".​

The S.O.S. project provides children in need with a brand new backpack completed with all supplies for the upcoming school year based on the individual child's specific school supply list for school and grade level. Supplies are collected through community partnerships and by donation from generous members of our community. If you are able, we encourage you to make a donation of supplies by dropping them off at one of the locations listed to the right, or for large donations, pick-up can be arranged by either calling 331-2425 or emailing info@fcwh.org.
